It is August, in this part of the world,  it is supposed to be dry season at this time of the year. July – August is the time when everyone would complain about the heat and how they did not have a good sleep the night before because it was so hot.  It is also the Haze season, as farmers and plantations would take advance of the dry season to clear their fields by burning them.

However, these few weeks, we have been getting lots of rain and there has been no sign of haze, not that I miss it. I have been thinking for weeks that the weather has being strange.

Then I remember what Jesus said in Matthew 24:7-8

7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of birth pains (sorrows).

Weather would be a big contributing factor to crop failures and hence causing famines.

We, human beings, the inhabitants of this planet that God has given to us to rule, haven’t being doing a good job at taking care of the Earth. The Earth is sick and dying, and we are not doing enough to save it.  Although we are not going to live here forever and we know that we are going to a much much better place that our Father has prepared for us, we still have to take care of the Earth as long as we are living here.
